Activities

Enhance your Club experience and meet other Members with these ongoing activities and volunteer opportunities. Be sure to visit our Calendar of Events.

Our monthly speaker series invites speakers to inform, educate and entertain members on a variety of topics. Usually held on the third Wednesday of the month, these presentations run approximately 45 minutes followed by a 15 minute question and answer session. Following the talk, an optional no-host dinner is available to members and their guests. Advanced reservations required.

Join a group of Women who enjoy playing 9 holes of golf at nearby courses (Fleming, Sharp, Peacock Gap, etc) and sometimes at the Presidio!  We are primarily new or high handicap players looking to enjoy the game and have fun.  Contact the Golf Shop for details.
Get together with a lively group on Senior Members for wine tasting, 3 course lunch and a few good laughs. Optional participation in golf tournaments before lunch run from March to October.
We meet monthly to learn about new wines and enjoy great company. On alternating months we focus on one area and have an expert guided tasting. The other months, members bring favorite wines to share. Cheese or small plates of food accompany the tasting.

WPGCC Book Club - The gathering of women meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.
Presidio Book Club - The coed groups meets every six weeks from 4:00pm - 5:30pm on selected Thursday afternoons.
Join us for open bridge play from 3:00pm to 5:00pm every Wednesday afternoon. We host a "bonus" round on the 3rd Friday of every month. Newer players can be paired with mentors to help the learning process.
Our seasonal, themed art shows allow members to display their creative side. Shows are hung on Friday and are up for the weekend. All members are welcome to attend the opening reception at 5:30pm on Friday evening. Volunteers to organize entries, correspond with artists and help hang the shows are welcome.
Tournament Committee - The Tournament Committee oversees Club Tournaments, maintains official member handicaps, makes recommendations to the Council on golf activities and mediates member-to-member golf issues. Special Interest Groups are represented on this Committee. 

Special Event Committee - The Special Events Committee works with other Committees, Special Interest Groups and staff to oversee the official Club calendar. The committee plans and coordinates activities to promote the vitality of the Club, supports the events through attendance and member-to-member invitations, and provides special-event decorating services. 

Finance Committee - The Finance Committee oversees all financial aspects of the Club including operational and capital budgeting, member fees, financial performance, annual reporting and long-term planning. 

PGCC Council - The PGCC Council is an elected group of Regular Members responsible for overall Club governance. Members of the Council serve two or three year terms and chair the various Club Committees.
